Confidence for Children Foundation had a grand vision when it first began its work: to be the first interdisciplinary treatment centre for children with facial deformities in Central Asia. There is still no comparable institution in Kyrgyzstan, or in the four neighbouring Central Asia republics. We are now very close to achieving this objective. The final step towards opening and maintaining the centre in Bishkek will be the task of our colleagues in Kyrgyzstan over the next several years. Our role will then solely be to provide support. Over the next few years, we will focus on Osh so there is a functioning clinic in the southern region of the country as well.
